[Mnj] This morning's MNJ

There has been a "gotcha" in the MNJ since we switched to the cvs
version based in Socorro. Before then, with ssh, the MNJ sites
accessed the master version of the software directly. If I mae a
change at 10:01 and your MNJ ran at 10:02 you got my change in the new
Fortran file and all UPD files. Now, if I make a change at 10:01 am
MDT, the UPD files list the UT-equivalent of 10:01, but the files are
not made available until about 10:15 pm MDT when the tar ball is
rolled up and the cvs master is updated.

The previous MNJ scripts would, if you ran your MNJ at 10:02 am MDT,
would not know about my change on the day I made it, but would think
they had already done that change when they run at 10:02 am MDT the
next day. This is because the time of the MNJ (in UT actually) was
recorded in the LAST*DAT* files. We have changed this so that the
LAST*DAT* files now record the time the CVS master was prepared and so
reflect the true time for which the MNJ is current. We made this
change a couple of days ago so that the new scripts ran for sure this
morning.

I had a rather large putbck to do yesterday (sorry I forgot to putbck
CHANGE.DOC) anyway, so I enlarged it to recompile and relink all
subroutines and tasks that have previously been compiled and linked.
Your MNJ sites should now be current even if they got caught in the
bug.

Thanks, esp to the site that found the error,

Eric Greisen
