[mmaimcal] Correlator question

Folks,

There have been some difficulties establishing the 31.25 MHz correlator 
mode, which provides highest resolution.  As you know, 62.5 MHz works 
fine at the moment.  At 86 GHz, this provides 15.2587891 kHz/0.053 km/s 
resolution (attached example of mode 12/Ori SiO maser--the cause of the 
incorrect frequency problem is well-known; the casa plot labeling 
awkwardness may be known).  I think that the priority of getting the 
higher res mode going is not so high as getting other aspects working, 
e.g. multi-resolution multi-window modes and that effort on it might be 
postponed.  Mode 6 offers twice the resolution (at the cost of one 
polzn) but is not on the no 1 priority list from the ASAC.

ASAC said:
"C. Mode 12. Two polarizations in a bandwidth of 62.5 MHz and 4096 
channels, the highest spectral resolution available (0.02 km/s at 230 
GHz over a bandwidth of 82 km/s). This will satisfy even the most 
detailed requirements for high spectral resolution."
