Folks,
I had a chat with Antonio today on the performance of the evaluation
receivers for the ATF. They should be very good indeed. There is a
table at:
http://almaedm.tuc.nrao.edu/forums/alma/dispatch.cgi/atfapproveddocs/showFile/100331/d20031010051106/No/Main%20specifications%20for%20the%20evaluation%20frontends.pdf
and graphs of performance across the band at:
http://almaedm.tuc.nrao.edu/forums/alma/dispatch.cgi/atfapproveddocs/folderFrame/100244/0/def/3337
but to summarize:
These are good receivers!
'Band 3' 85-105 GHz dual polzn, SSB 8GHz IF USB but some degradation on
the outer 20%; HEMT amplifiers so 1/f stability an issue for total power
continuum. Trx 80K.
'Band 6' 215-270 GHz single polzn DSB 2 GHz IF; SIS mixer. Trx 70K or
so, varies with position in the band.
Gain stability is also of interest and has been published:

Clear skies,
Al
