As a linux-residing person, I am Spreadsheet Illiterate.
However, I am sending you an ASCII file that has an *approximate*
profile for a turnaround from the maximum JERK method, at .48 msec
resolution (ie, 100 samples in 48 msec).  Looking at this, it is
apparent that the acceleration profile isn't exactly parabolic
(that would have a jerk with a constant slope), so I did something
more elaporate.  (Still, the desired motion is approximately cubic
on timescales of 48 msec.)

The turnaround from +1 deg/s (ie, 0.5deg/s on the sky in AZ, at 60 deg
elevation) to -1 deg/s takes just over 0.3 seconds to achieve -- I don't
have any clue about how realistic this would be for the ALMA antennas,
given that I heard a rumer that it took the Vertex antenna longer to turn
around. 

I am thinking that it would not be difficult for you to repeat your
spreadsheet analysis on this motion profile.  If it IS difficult,
maybe it is time for me to start running spreadsheets.
