Concerning these plots:  I just realized that
there is a bug in my software which calculates the elevation
incorrectly for determining sub-elevation points.  I am pretty
sure the shadowing and elongation are correct, but we are missing
places where the data is not really sub-elevation.

So:  these plots are with a grain of salt at this point.
