Richard,
Thanks for your notes on
your site visit. They are a
good reminder we still have
quite a way to go before using
183 GHz radiometers to
routinely correct
interferometer phases.
You mention an all sky cloud
camera. We have previously
discussed something of this
sort, namely a 10 um camera
built for the Sloan survey
telescope at Apache Point, NM.
We decided it would be useful
for array operations, but
hard to justify for d&d.
Perhaps we should reconsider?
Estimated cost is $35k. I'll
send references next week
along with answers to your
questions.
