All,
FYI, JD and I went to the receiver room this afternoon to determine the
cable requirements for connecting the CCB. Here is a summary of what we
determined. Some details still need to be worked out, obviously, but this
is a reasonable starting point. If anyone sees any problems with what
we've listed below, please let us know ASAP.
Thanks,
Rich and JD

Notes:
1 - From box attached to ceiling of receiver room to power supply plate.
Box was designed by Bob Simon.
2 - From power supply plate to CCB front panel.
Determine required minimum wire gauge from nominal voltage drop
at normal operating currents. Need connector part #
3 - From "back room" 1 PPS distribution chassis to cable
trays, to turret, to CCB.
4 - From 10 MHz distributor on turret to CCB
5 - Need additional info for receiver end.
4 twisted pairs with and overall shield should be adequate.
6 - Need two individually shielded twisted pairs for reset signals.
Other signals will be on a short pigtail coming out of the same
backshell. Cable goes to Reset Box in the back room.
7 - From back room to cable trays to turret to CCB
8 - Need to use two unused fibers between the servo room and rx rm
because none of the fibers in the rx rm presently carry 100 Mbit
ethernet.
Presently, the following are unused:

BLK tube BLK tube

BLU BLU
VIO VIO
YEL tube YEL tube
