I am not sure that's what your are looking for (we may discuss it off-list if
you wish),
but just in case:


Aladin Lite contains a mix of CPU/GPU WCS functionalities (not exhaustive at
all).
The GLSL part of the code is available here:
https://github.com/cds-astro/aladin-lite/tree/master/src/glsl/webgl2/projection


And the CPU part (in Rust) is here:

* https://github.com/cds-astro/cds-mapproj-rust


I am not sure how you can test it (but any feedback, error correction,
precision/performance improvement, ... is welcome).
