Mark Calabretta WCSLIB version 8.10 (2026/09/27) -------------------------------- * C library - In wcsprintf() and wcsfprintf(), use the return value from vsnprintf() itself to decide whether to grow the output buffer, rather than relying on all messages being within a certain length (formerly 128 bytes). Some messages from wcspih() did exceed that length and could cause the buffer to be overrun, thereby corrupting the heap and causing a segv. The problem, which arose in Astropy, was diagnosed and reported by Thomas Robitaille with patch. - In szpx2s(), relaxed the bounds checking tolerance slightly to accomodate spurious non-closures reported by test program tprj1 on some 32-bit machines. Reported by Ole Streicher (Debian maintainer). - In the C test suite, modified tprj1 to handle status returns from the projection routines properly. With diligent status reporting, it was found necessary to change the latitude range of the SZP test appropriately. * Fortran wrappers - In the Fortran test suite, modified tprj1 to match the C version. * User manual - Documentation generation moved to Doxygen 1.18.0 (was 1.17.0). While the Doxygen bug reported in WCSLIB 8.5 has now been fixed, the makefile patch has been left in place for the time being.
