[fitsbits] Storing PDF and other graphics binary files in FITS {External}

The original question seems akin to old discussions of whether
it makes sense to store BLOBs in a SQL database
(aka the problem of storing a cow in a refrigerator).

Discussions of that question (and its metaphor) seem to have
fallen over the event horizon of the internet.  There is
still this look at the tradeoffs
