...that is, multiply the spectrum in turn by each of the CIE 1931
R, G, B (or X, Y, Z) colour-matching functions and integrate to get
an (R,G,B) or (X,Y,Z) triple for each spectrum. This is the spectrum's
colour in a colourimetric colour-space. Do this for each pixel to get
a colourimetrically accurate colour image. Convert each triple to sRGB
via a simple linear transformation (matrix multiply) for display on an
LCD.
