I agree with what Phil Hodge said about formatting for TFORM.
The real Fortran format was designed to work with integer data
way back when storage was in short supply. That has not been
the case for quite a few years now and I aloways preferred when
reformatting star catalogs at the ADC to include decimal points
in all real data. Then set TFORM to the actual format.
