    The problem with ea24's L-band receiver is not what I had thought -- 
it doesn't appear to be a case of swapped polarizations.  More careful 
review of the correlations shows that all four correlations are about 
equally weak.  There is definitely a coherent stable phase in all four 
correlations for both IF pairs. 

    More investigation  will be needed to learn the problem.
