I miscounted the number of 'failed tunings'. The actual value is between 80 and 100 (it's hard to tell sometimes as many of the sources are significantly resolved on these baselines). This leads to a 'failure rate' of about 1.8%, much closer to that determined for the K -> Ku band transition.
