A 30-minute dynamic slot was used to check X-band performance,
Modcomp-free.
The goals were to see if the 'pulsing' performance was still there,
and if so, to determine if there was any dependence on integration time.
1) The exact same pulsing patterns reported from Friday night data
are still there.
2) There is no dependence on integration time. When using
integration times sufficient to average over the periods of the pulse
(either 0.833 or 1.67 seconds), the resulting amplitude is exactly that
expected from the 0.417 second patterns.
To recap -- the pulsing patterns have four, and only four, patterns:
1) No pulses: All EVLA antennas, plus VLA antennas 5, 6, 8, 10, 15
and 25.
2) Three 'up' states, and one 'down': 2, 7, 9, 20 and 22.
3) Three 'down' states and one 'up: 3, 28
4) Alternating: 1, 12, and 27.
Separately from the above, I note:
1) Antennas 6 and 8 have non-closing amplitudes -- presumably a
large delay error.
2) EVLA antennas 13 and 14 were dead last night. The data were not
flagged bad, and there is no note in the operator log about any troubles.
