Herewith the final report from this morning's data. Overall 20cm
sensitivities seem to have improved, while those at 4/6cm have gone downhill.

Final report
EVLA ant. 13,14,16,18,24 included
Standard continuum, C X L bands (L band uses L1 setup)
3.3s averaging
elevation 20-72 degrees
mediocre weather (clear skies, API 9-20 degrees)
OVERVIEW
Comparisons are with similar data from 26jul06.
20cm:
ant. 13
IFs C no fringes
IFs A BD worst in the array
ant. 14 marked improvement, from very bad on 26jul06, to among the best
on 3aug06! (within the top 4 in all IFs)
ant. 16
IFs AC no fringes
IF B is much improved, from about the worst on 26jul06, to among
the top 5 on 3aug06
IFs D remains awful (in the bottom 3)
ant. 18 all IFs are now the best in the array!
vs. IF A was among the worst on 26jul06 (BD were always fab-o)
ant. 24 no data
6cm:
ant. 13
IFs A BD worst of the array
IF C no fringes
ant. 14 has gone way downhill -- used to be the best in the array,
now only middlin'
ant. 16
IFs AC no fringes
IFs BD went from the top 4 to the bottom quartile
no phase jumps when changing bands
ant. 18
IFs A D excellent (#2 in the array)
IF C bottom quartile
IF B no fringes
ant. 24 no data
4cm:
ant. 13
IF C no fringes
IF A is near the bottom (24 out of 26)
IFs BD have gotten much worse -- now they're #24 out of 26
ant. 14 remains near the bottom, except IF A which is in the middle
ant. 16 remains fine (upper quartile)
ant. 18 is now about the worst antenna, in all IFs. This
is a big downgrading for IFs A & B, but at least C now has fringes...
ant. 24 remains horrible (near the bottom in all IFs)
IF C had occasional instances of ridiculously high amp. with constant
phase (-45 or 135 degs, depending on the baseline), lasting 6-30 seconds.
There are often associated "pretty lousy" data, occurring just before
or just after the really horrible stuff, in which the amplitude is high
on many but not all baselines. About 10% of the total data from this
IF are obviously affected.

AIPS weights: median fractional weight
mean weight is calculated for each record
fractional weight is the weight for the EVLA antenna,
divided by that mean
the median fractional weight is the median value of the
fractional weights, derived from the distribution across
all records in which the antenna was present
--> high is good <---
--> the average VLA antenna is 1.0 <--
--> 0.1 is 10 times worse than the average;
