[evlatests] evlatests mail list

I have today set up a "mailman" list called evlatests. The
purpose of this kind of list for evlatests, are so everyone
who subscribes gets the same info, the mail is archived
so we can go back and see what has happened, and also
if you don't want to get this you can unsubscribe.

The people who receive this first posting are the people
I have already subscribed; you need to do nothing except
post to the list instead of having your own alias of names
on your own mail tool. I am somewhat of a novice at this,
but I am told by "the experts" that by tomorrow morning, you
will be able to send messages to the list by just putting
evlatests in the To: line of your email and that our mail system
will have an alias to the true address ( which is actually
evlatests at listmgr.cv.nrao.edu). I am sending this message
by the long form as the alias list won't get updated until the
wee hours tomorrow in C'ville.

The mail sent to this list will be archived at

http://listmgr.cv.nrao.edu/pipermail/evlatests

If you want to change something about your subscription
(such as what language you want to read the list mail in, or
see who is on the list, or whether you want the mail batched
in a digest) go to

http://listmgr.cv.nrao.edu/mailman/listinfo/evlatests

When you Reply to mail sent to you as a member of the list,
you should only be replying to the sender. If you want your
reply sent to all members of the list, you should probably Reply
to All or cc: the list.

If any of you that are on this first mailing would rather not be on
this list and want to unsubscribe, please send mail to me at
mclausse at nrao.edu. There is probably another way to do this,
but for now, it's probably easiest for me to do it this way. I'm
assuming that everyone on the list so far probably wants to stay
on.

I will soon send a soliciting message to some others who I have
not yet subscribed to see if they are interested. If you know of
others who are not on the list (you can find out who is on by checking
the second url above) who would like to be, please have them
send me an email or stop by my office.

Any other questions about this mailing list, please send them
my way.

Mark
