Hi KScott,

We ran into a lot of trouble the last time we fiddled with the VLA switch,
we lost a week's worth of observing as a result and were severely
criticized by the director's office. Please could we have relevant people
review the process, do necessary tests ahead of time and following the OS
upgrade, and make sure we have a mechanism for reverting to an old version
if necessary? What is the nature of the long-standing problem you are
trying to fix?

Claire
