[evla-sw-discuss] lando, oracle, and postgres

all,

we are gearing up for the change from Oracle to PostgreSQL for our main 
M&C databases, hosted on lando.  the new hardware is nearly ready, and 
over the next month or so we intend to make this transition.

any of you who have software which touches any of the databases: 
evlampts, widarmpts, CRM, evlaparm, monstdby, parmback, etc., should be 
aware of this and be ready to make changes in your code to support it. 
it might be as easy as changing a single JDBC call, or more complex. 
please consult with daniel lyons about details for this.

let me know if you have issues that may delay this transition.
