[evla-sw-discuss] upgrade of EVLA Linux machines

I would like to upgrade the version of Linux on the EVLA machines
(cbe*, mc*, cpcc*, widar-boot*,lando, r2d2, eva, evan, wyemon) from
rhel5.6 to rhel5.7.  This upgrade has already been done on most of the
machines at the AOC.  I would like to do this upgrade the first day of
the double maintenance day period (Jan. 3).

During this time I would also like to replace the main Linux servers,
amos and andy.  Doing so will require a reboot of the Linux machines I
mentioned above.

I would like to start this process at 10am and hopefully be finished by
3pm.  I could start earlier, say just after 8am, if that is desirable.

Let me know if you have any problems with this plan.  If I hear none I 
will assume the plan is good and begin work at 10am on Jan. 3.
