[evla-sw-discuss] eva, evan and wyemon

The operator's linux computers - eva, evan and wyemon - need to be
upgraded to the latest redhat-5.3, which is what we are running on
most of the AOC machines already.  I plan to do this on the next
double maintenance. days, Apr. 14-15, probably starting around 10am on
the 14th.  I expect the process to take about an hour per machine.

I will upgrade eva with a replacement machine, since it is about six
years old.  I will upgrade evan and wyemon with replacement hard
drives because those machines are only one or two years old.  All of
this means I can easily put the original systems back should the
upgrade fail for some reason.

I will have the replacement eva in my office should Rich or someone
want to test things before the upgrade.

Let me know if this is a problem for anyone.
