This is probably too broad a group for this announcement, but it
is sure to catch those who might care.

As part of the effort of turning off the Modcomps as much of the
software records from both the old and new Modcomp systems as could
be rescued have been transcribed from old nine track tapes and placed in a
repository on mchost.  This note is a pointer to that repository
which can be found at:  /home/asg/vla/src
Readme files can be found in that directory to help guide the
uninitiated.

A snapshot of the current state of VLA software was made in 2003;
that has now been updated to June 2007, and the history of all
software changes has been preserved for future historians.
