[evla-sw-discuss] Banshee and Miranda

In an effort to more or less guarentee we
don't affect observing on Saturday I need
to try and keep banshee and miranda up.

     Banshee and Miranda mount several
filesystems from filehost on boot. They
look fairly useless .. certainly fairly useless
between now and saturday.

    I'm currently manually unmounting them,
they'll come back on a reboot whenever
that occurs next.

To that end I need a few things from
folks:

1) Don't reboot Miranda and Banshee
between now and Saturday

2) Don't login to Banshee or Miranda
as anything other than root or observe.

3) Let me know if anything 'wierd' happens
after I've removed these mounts. Any
errors should look a lot like 'no such
file or directory'. These are not automounts
so they'll simply fail ... they won't try to remount.
I can't unmount the filesystem if it's being used
so I *know* nobody's currently using them.

4) Is the API still toast ... it needs /opt/SW4.2 on
Miranda but if the API is currently down I can
get rid of that mount too.

Lastly ... please try and avoid logging into
any of the evla systems (mchost, mcmonitor etc)
as your personal accounts and certainly don't
leave your self logged in between now and
saturday.
