we could get around this by having each project be its own repository.  then the 
versioning isn't all mangled together.  i like that better.

i also far prefer
  .../pst/trunk/...
          branch/...
          tags/...
  .../opt/trunk/...
          branch/...
          tags/...
to
  .../trunk/pst/...
            opt/...
  .../branch/pst/...
             opt/...
  .../tags/pst/...
           opt/...
