hi Stuart,

calcif2 only takes 5 EOPs, so probably the issue is that after 2 of your 
7 EOPs are rejected you are left with 5 that don't fully bracket the 
observation. You need to upgrade to difxcalc11 if you want to use more.

I note that your leap second value is also wrong for that date.

getEOP.py from the espresso package will always return 5 EOPs bracketing 
your requested date, and will get the leap seconds correct for any date. 
The trunk version also has the option to return either v2d or vex format 
as you prefer.
