CHANGE.DOC entries:
The help and run-time help files were changed for the new
options and to improve the wording.
Add code for DOEBAR in PLOTR section of AU8A and correct
handling of the 30-value adverbs.
These help files should have their first category OBSOLETE so
that list making tasks ike ADVHLP can ignore them. Similarly
the SHOPH script should list obsolete only in ZZOBSOLETE.
Changed help files to force this since putbck will not accept
TASK, PROC, RUN, etc as legal secondary words. Changed CLIPM,
CROSSPOL, DDT, DDTSIZE, MX, PHCLN, POLSN, PSEUDO, SETROAM,
SNCUT, VLBACPOL, XVSS, MAPDIF, HORUS, and OFFROAM help files.
The TPMON help had OBSOLETE removed; it still works although it
is not used automatically and is rather dangerous.
APARM Added VLBATECR, OFUDG; dropped HLPSCIMG, HLPSCMAP,
VLBACRPL

second escape if the following character is a blank, i.e.
"\&\ ". This should help in type setting Chapter 13.
\zxhlp addition was failing to detect verbatim mode and so
LaCook.PL was adding \zxhlp to things in the verbatim sections.
But in those sections the \zxhlp did not actually link to
anything.
Changed too many help files to list for lines in the Inputs
section longer than 64 characters and for lines in the Help and
Explain sections longer than 72 characters. Many more to do.
NEW PROGRAM: $AIPNOT/ADVCNT reads all help files (found in
HLPA.LIST) and checks the inputs section for lines longer than
64 and the rest of help for lines longer than 72 (or maximum
< 72). Changed way too many help files (473) to bother listing
here.
The IGRF model Earth magnetic field is now in uncertain
territory (in 2025) and so started issuing messages. The
released version of the model has not been updated on the web
site so I put in code to issue the warning 3 times and then be
quiet about it.
$AIPSPUBL/CHANGED.23D. Corrected this to save 31DEC23
CHANGE.DOC instead.
Frequency computation wrong. Led to one too many channels
output with the reference channel number being one too high.
Highest channel data left flagged.
radius of the center. The alternation is what makes the
hexagonal pattern. Currently it takes only the odd choices.
Added DOINVERS to allow taking only even choices. The two
possibilities will cover somewhat different areas and may even
produce different numbers of facets. Study the results with
CHKFC and FLATN to choose whichever one is better for your
current imaging needs.
Renamed auto zoom option to "AUTO X Y ZOOM ?". Fixed clip
operations to flag zoomed pixels in TV display.
Changed QCLEAN. It did not handle keywords that were not
present in the object properly. It stopped the error message
and the quitting on error but could alter a parameter via COPY,
RCOPY, et al. I should look for this sort of error in other
OOP routines.
Moved nowhere.

Changed the help and run-time help files for XGAUS, AGAUS,
ZEMAN, and ZAMAN for PIXRANGE and the handling of
one-dimensional images.

Changed DOTV meaning to eliminate TTY parameter input.
DOTV is always true now. Fixed this in the Fortran and help
files. Added BLOTCH LIST to the help and run-time help files.
Changed the display when entering a new guess to appear in a
different color.
Changed TV plotting to respond correctly to changed window
size in spectral plots and CURVALUE. Made the same changes
in ZEMAN and ZAMAN.
