  1.
With only that message there is nothing I can do to help you. I would need many more details - such as the IMAGR messages before the abort, the INPUTS you used to IMAGR, the IMHEADER of the uv data file, etc.
  2.
The MNJ uses rsync for which a severe vulnerability has been discovered. Our security people have closed outside access to our rsync server until it is patched on our server. The service will then resume - perhaps today or early next week.

Cheers

Subject: AIPS Errors while Running IMAGR task and 'connection issues' while running 'do_daily.localhost' script {External}

Dear Eric,

Thank you for your help with the AIPS CVEL fix last year. After the MNJ update, the CVEL Task worked perfectly as desired.

Unfortunately, I have now ran into some new issues reading AIPS. I am having issues with running AIPS task IMAGR on my computer (MacBook Pro 2023, chip: Apple M2 Pro, MacOS: Sequoia 15.2). I am running AIPS DEC2024 version).

Issue 1:

---------

While running IMAGR on a UV datafile which has multiple sources (named V255Z_MAS_P0.CVEL.1 in attached files) to image a single channel of a source named ‘NGC6334F’, the IMAGR task keep abort with the error message:

IMAGR1: ZABORS: signal 11 received

IMAGR1: ABORT!

But if I run the IMAGR task on a SPLIT UV datafile, which is created from the same multi-source UV datafile, it runs smoothly.

I tried to change/vary input parameters of IMAGR task to make it run successfully with multi-source UV file, but sadly didn’t get any success. Can you please help me with what is the problem here and what I am doing wrong? Thank you!

Issue 2:

---------

In hope that maybe resynchronizing/updating might help me with IMAGR problem, I tried to run ‘do_daily.localhost’ script (which I assume is MNJ) to update my 31DEC2024 AIPS version, but over there I faced connection issues with the NRAO servers. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong here. Last time I ran it (in Oct 2024), it worked fine.

I have attached multiple files with this email which details error messages and more detailed information about data and input parameters for both these issues. Please let me know if you need any further information on this from my side.

Thank you again for your help in advance! I look forward hearing from you!

Kind regards,

Jay
