[daip] Fwd: UVfits {External}

Yes. The plot shows how Q and U varies with time for a variable source (Sgr A*) since DFTPL has the list of IQUV as a function of time. The plot is similar to FRPA in DFTPL.
I have to check what DFTIM is! Never used it.

Thanks,
Farhad

DFTPL and DFTIM use time as one of the fundamental axes. What you are asking for seems to be a histogram image with Q and U amplitudes as the two axes. Is that right? The task UVHIM would be a place where that could be inserted.

Hi Eric,

I hope all is well with you. I have not bugged you for a long time. I still use aips. I like the way you included FPA in DFTPL, which is very useful.

One other useful plot that many people use and model is a plot showing Q vs U which generally creates clockwise or counterclockwise patterns.

Is it possible to consider this it in DFTPL? Perhaps you have a different task for this.

Many thanks.

Cheers,

Farhad

The issue is whether CASA applies flags and calibration when doing
exportuvfits. The BUNIT keyword suggests that it does not. AIPS will
not be able to process these data correctly unless they are calibrated
either by CASA or by AIPS.
