[daip] question on aips

HI Eric,
Yes!
We found that error. However, the system does not find a compiler.
/opt/local/compilers/gcc-6/bin/gfortran does not exist, and it is hard to convince it to use a different one, without some serious hacking.

Can you point me to a compiler on the NRAO system that would work?

Are you compiling tasks inside the Socorro aips system?
The answer to your question is to type $CDTST in the window in which you used the source LOGIN
What gives here?

Hi Eric,

I am trying to run AIPS on one of the nmpost and on dubhe, and want to run COMLNK.

I attempted to load the environment with

source /home/AIPS/LOGIN.SH

However, when I run COMLNK, I get:

dubhe$ COMLNK
AIPS environment not defined; do CDTST?

I tried to manually define CDTST, e.g., to with export CDTST='/home/AIPS/31DEC23', but it does not change anything.

Do you have any suggestions what to do next?
