I am surprised to see you have an older system than ours. We are
usually
many years behind the curve. I have placed libreadline.so.6 in the
INTELCMP
LIBR area. A MNJ in an hour or so will get it and things may be back to
normal.
I switched from a READLINE 2005 version compiled locally to -lreadline
in the
compilation. If this does not work I can probably go to a static
library
which has magically appeared since I last looked.
Let me know if it works.
