That is good. I wish more people were using the latest.
Note that ABORT takes NUMTELL. So if you are running in say AIPS2
but NUMTELL is 1, then ABORT will try to kill UVCOP1 when you are
running UVCOP2. NUMTELL 0 says to use your current AIPS number.
Try SPY or outside AIPS "ps -elf | grep UVCOP" to see if the task
is in fact running. If not, perhaps it simply vanished although
there is an abort handler that is supposed to yield a message.
If it is present, perhaps some one of your disks is off line. We
had symptoms like this recently when our Lustre disk complex had
problems.
