AIPS limits are 90 IFs and many many channels - so no problem. Such
a wide bandwidth will be affected by spectral index. You may have to
make an image at each IF to begin with and then create a spectral
index image. Do this by making a cube of the single IF images, then
TRANS and SPIXR. Then you can run IMAGR with all IFs and IN3NAME
pointing at the spectral index image. A generous FQTOL will allow
the task to run more efficiently. If the source extends seriously
out into the primary beam then that alone will look like a spectral
index issue.
