It is not a bother especially when the news is so good. I tried zsh
briefly and then went back to bash. I forget why it did not work
for me however. Try the commands
which aips
which AIPS
echo $PATH
Mac OS has always been strange about case (upper vs lower). The two
are equivalent in shell scripts but different when typed by hand.
To continue the testing the command aips and AIPS just point at
$AIPS_ROOT/START_AIPS. So you can say
./START_AIPS notv tpok
for that test but the more interesting one on Macs is
./START_AIPS tv=local
because the issue with shared memory is to allow enough.
