 Please find the dulist.txt file attached.I have reinstalled AIPS once. The issue under discussion if after the reinstallation. But I can always do it again if there isn't any other way.

I wish that your message was more readable (i.e. line breaks between commands).  But I think you  should re-install AIPS.  If the help files are not there, what else is missing?  You do seem to have a good bit so it is very strange that the help files are gone and that the directory does not even exist.  You could try

cd $AIPS_ROOT

du -h . > dulist.txt

and then send me the dulist.txt file.
