Hi Eric,

Thanks for your swift reply. It’s a very rare and minor issue. For new observations, sometimes the time coverage of erp file is earlier than the observation date, then AIPS would stop at EOP correction and complain the time coverage of erp file does not cover the observation time. On the contrary, when I happened to use a wrong erp file whose time coverage is later than the observation time, there is no complaint at all and AIPS runs through.
Later we found some unexplainable residual delay in the reduced data, and addressing the problem to the wrong erp file. It is my carelessness that causes the problem. Meanwhile we reckon it would be ideal if there is complaint from AIPS when the time coverage does not match. That’s why I placed this issue.

Best regards,
Hao

In general the EOPS correction requires data (not predictions)
for a least a few days before to several days after the observation.
A modern full-size file should work fine on data taken a few weeks ago
or several years ago. The 500-day versions are only useful for the
previous year or so.

What do you mean by "complaint"? Please send the messages you
see. In general if CLCOR complains that means it did not do what it
is supposed to do. Check the output CL table carefully.
