Dear Eric : Thanks a lot !! This will be very helpful for our work. I have tried to follow your instruction to reset MAXMOD and recompile AIPS through text installation. However, the text installation did not work very well because I do not have all the fortran and C compilers in my laptop. I found this a bit tricky at this moment. It's not easy for me to get icc and ifort compilers (I have gcc and gfortran compilers). I get a lot of error message in the recompiling process. It would be the best if you can help us to update the binary version of 31DEC19 AIPS for easier installation. The MAXMOD we need should be less than a few hundreds, but it would be great if you can set this value to 10000 (if it does not hurt anything). If this number is too large, then please set MAXMOD to 1000. Would it be possible to have a dated binary version today for people to install ? If yes, can we directly run install.pl to access the updated version or run the mid-night job for updating tonight ? Thanks a lot ! --- We are now working hard on getting the first polarization image of M87 at the event horizon scale. The updated version of LPCAL would be important for getting things right !regardschengyu
