the file you sent originally contains a horizontal TAB between each column and a CR at the end of each line but no LF character.  The Intel compiler thensees the file as a single long line and the character processing we do handles the TABs okay butthe absence of the line feed means that there isonly one input line and hence NaNs for output.Apparently the gfortran text reader (same actual code)supplies the LF on seeing a CR.If you do a "more" on your file, you will see MAC OSalso treating it as a single line.  I think you need tochange text editor or set some options...CheersEric
