You seem to be confused about the nature of SPLAT.It writes an aips UV data set not a fits file.  Your OUTNAMEis totally inappropriate and probably failed since the stringon the right is longer than putname (12 chars).It is not necessary to run splat to apply a few simple flags,every uv task will apply them at very little cost.  SPLAT or UVCOPare needed if one does various automatic flag operationssuch as CLIP, RFLAG, etc.  These make FG tables with millionsof lines and are expensive to apply.Try looking at your data with the flags you have created - e.g.POSSM, UVPLT, etc.  If the pipeline failed, perhaps the flagsyou created are deleting more than you expect.Eric Greisen
