I have a concern about the way that FRPLT is handling SOLINT and/or scan boundaries.

I have a data set with 4-minute scans and an NX table. Data were sorted in TB order with MSORT. The same source is observed multiple times, but never in consecutive scans, e.g.,

Scan Source Qual Calcode Sub Timerange FrqID START
   1 0501-019 : 0000 1 0/15:08:00 - 0/15:12:00 1 1
   2 0510+180 : 0000 1 0/15:15:00 - 0/15:19:00 1 21001
   3 0501-019 : 0000 1 0/15:22:00 - 0/15:26:00 1 42001
...

To illustrate the potential issues, I attach two groups of plots.

The first 3 plots (SOLINT*.png) show results from 3 passes of FRPLT on a single baseline.

I select source 0510+180, TIMER 0, and then set SOLINT to 5.0, 4.1, and -1, respectively. My understanding is that each case should produce an identical plot, based on data from scan 1 of 0510+180. However, the resulting plots are all different. (In contrast, these adverb selections all produce identical cross-power spectra in POSSM.)

In Example 2, I again selected source 0510+180, but set SOLINT=0.

Plot 4 (TIMER1+SOLINT0.png) shows the result for TIMERANG=0 15 0 0, 0 15 18 59.
Plot 5 (TIMER2+SOLINT0.png) shows the result for TIMERANG=0 15 15 01, 0 15 18 59.

Again, I expect identical plots that include only data from the first scan of 0510+180. However, the results are quite different.

Thanks,
Lynn Matthews
