Is there a way for me to create an installation DVD with a different computer (with internet access) that can be used to install AIPS on this unconnected machine, or is that something that has to be generated by NRAO? Thank you.

I would think that you could simply tar your whole directory structure
on the open machine (leaving out actual data areas), put the tar file on
a DVD, and carry it to the protected machine. Alternatively we do have
a way of making a DVD which is supported by install.pl. I have not done
that in years but there is no reason to believe that I could not do it
again.

Let me know if you need me to try that.
