I run into the same problem with different data sets. For example, I have one with 64 IFs, 128 channels each, and it acts the same way. Number of visibilities in the data I've tried range from a few hundred thousand to 1.4 million.
All are EVLA, multi-source, but with only a single source displayed in FTFLG.
The problems only occur if flagging is set to "ALL IFS" or a range that includes the highest numbered IF.
Another thing that triggers a termination is to set flagging to IFs 1-32 (or 1-64), then flag several pixels consecutively; that results in the task dying with the "TV ERROR 2 IN YFILL" error.
I've used FTFLG extensively in the past, including on some of these very same data, and never noticed these issues. However, that might have been as long as two months ago.
