I agree that this is a problem.  Unfortunately, the code writes the beam and then reads it
when needed so the file must exist.  For such large images, consider IMAGRPRM(10) which
will let you have a quite adequate beam without being quite so large.

You generally run from scripts, so I suggest that you add a delete of the beam right after
IMAGR.
