Hi, this is a question related to an earlier fixed(?) issue https://listmgr.nrao.edu/pipermail/daip/2014-August/020580.html on the topic of "extracting the values of error bars of closure phase".

Running CLPLT (31DEC16) with doebar=1, doprint=3, outtext='PWD:tmp.txt produces strange estimates for closure phase uncertanties. Below is an example output. It shows the "Cl phase" and "Cl error" as reported by CLPLT.

For some reason many of these "Cl error"s are negative. Is this really to be expected? In addition, in the associated TV window, points with a negative error have no error bounds plotted (these just display as single markers/dots), whereas vertical error bars are drawn for those data points that have a positive error.

There might be a mistake in both the Cl error calculation as well as in the plotting?
