You can download NVSS images from the web as FITS files and then read them into AIPS.
There you can do any of the display and analysis tasks available.

AIPS task FACES reads the NVSS catalog and makes an image of sorts - point sources
from NVSS.  The main purpose of this was to boot-strap calibration.
