The funny thing is that I did all of this on a binary distrib of (64bit; 31DEC15).  I don't think I could be confused about binary/text because its on my laptop which doesn't have the 31DEC15 text distrib (laptop has only an old text distrib), and history says that SPLIT was 31DEC15.
