I have been using RFLAG for some time on many different data sets without issue. I am now working on a simple P band Holography slice data set and ran RFLAG on the HOLORASTER source first (4 times with doplot 12 then doplot -12 on the XXYY and XYYX) data. I then decided that was a lot of flags so I did a uvcop to apply them and tried to RFLAG on that data set for the calibrator J0542+4951. The RFLAG command dumped a bunch of errors. I assumed the uvcop failed so I tried running RFLAG on the original data that I had the flags for the HOLORASTER source and I get the same errors and abort. I tried exiting AIPS and restarting and still the issues when I run RFLAG on J0542+4951. I started another user number in AIPS and ran RFLAG on a data set there with no issues. I left the system for a couple of days and tried the RFLAG on J0542+4951 both the original and UVCOP data still give the error. I then ran RFLAG on the HOLORASTER source and it runs without issue with the exact same setup. Being paranoid I checked the lister and J0542+4951 is the correct source name. I did a LISTR type list and can see data there. I also did a UVPLT on J0542 Stokes XXYY and that worked fine. It seems like the errors are related to that data for that source but I'm not sure what to do. As a final desperation attempt I went back to the data loaded straight into AIPS from BDF2AIPS before I applied Hanning smoothing and the RFLAG on J0542 produces the errors there. Any thoughts?? I can drop the offending file on /lustre/tclarke if you would like.

Thanks,

Tracy
