I'm sorry about the delay here.  I downloaded your small data set and
have had some fun with it.

FRING with my gfortran compiler aborts with a useless traceback.

But the Intel version we distribute works.  After that MBDLY worked just fine
(the error bars are enormous in your data but the answers look reasonable).
The R and L dispersions were very similar although not identical.  The APARM(10)
option makes them identical (although not the mb-delays).

Note that the cal routines only use the R value of dispersion so you are better
off asking for the average anyway.
