If you set the AP big enough, the 8-channel case should work.
The 16-channel one causes an overflow in the number of words
needed and so dies for other reasons.  Alternatively, you can
force IMAGR to use DFT which will not get into this problem
area.  I need to work on the code (fairly deeply) so that GRDSUB
can do some of the channels at a time and loop until all are done.
