K Scott pointed out that the log file name appeared truncated.  I have changed
the code to make the character variables larger - so this is probably an aips bug
and it is only the tail function that fails.  "tail" lets you see the log file as it gets
written.  You can always read the log file in the lustre/aoc/observers/nm-918 area
after the fact.

Fixed in tomorrow's MNJ (i.e. by midnight MDT).
