Dear Hui,

The purpose of the instrumental delay calibration is to take out jumps between the IFs, so plotting only one IF does not tell you if the instrumental phase calibration worked. The phases shouldn't necessarily be "flat" after calibration, although that is not an uncommon side effect of doing manual phase calibration (VLBAMPCL), when you use the pulse cals this may not be the case. Again flat phases doesn't mean the calibration has worked, no jumps between the IFs means the calibration has worked. I would also recommend plotting the polarizations separately, rather than stokes 'I' (use stokes='half').
